This course will allow students the opportunity to research,                    

develop, discuss and write about topics concerning personal                     

interests, popular culture, controversies, and current events.                  

Students then will have opportunities to work in small groups editing,          

discussing and ultimately presenting their projects.  All four skill            

groups -- listening, reading, writing and speaking will be practiced in         

this class.
