本授業の目的およびねらい
Do you know how to network and how to present at a conference? Do you want practice presenting before you go to a conference? This class focuses on how to communicate at a conference--both while presenting and with other people when not presenting. This course will provide instruction about logical writing skills and how to communicate effectively at conferences. In this course, students will learn how to present and network in a style suitable for academic conferences.

履修条件・関連する科目
This class is open to fourth year undergraduate students who have an academic project to present and can communicate at an academic level in spoken and written English. You may be from any academic discipline.
成績評価の方法と基準
Class participation 20%; Assignment # 1 (Presentation using a Script and Handouts) 40%; Assignment #2 (Final Presentation) 40%.

All reading materials are prepared by the teacher and given to students in the class or by e-mail.
参考書
Students should bring English dictionaries to all classes.
