| 本授業の目的およびねらい | | 本授業科目は，専門的学習のツールとして外国語の能力を高め，異文化理解を深めて，国際社会に相応しい教養を育むことが目的である。
リスニングとスピーキングを主としたコミュニケーションの能力を高める授業を行い、日常会話、さらにはディスカッションやプレゼンテーションのための基礎力を養成する。 |
| | | 授業の構成 | | | Students will work on their listening and speaking in this class, and more specifically, communication in daily conversations, discussions and presentations. The topics covered depend on student interest and relevance. In the past, topics on people, society, history, environment and technology have been covered in this class. The lecturer prioritizes topics which spark student interest and therefore facilitate students working on their English skills while engaging with topics which are relevant to them. |

| | | 教科書・テキスト | | | | | 参考書 | | | | | 注意事項 | | | 課外学習として「Ａｃａｄｅｍｉｃ Ｅｘｐｒｅｓｓ３」を課し、その消化率に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の２０％とする。また、ＴＯＥＦＬ ＩＴＰ（Ｌｉｓｔｅｎｉｎｇ，Ｓｔｒｕｃｔｕｒｅ）の評価を３０％とする。５回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。英語検定試験による単位認定を申請する学生以外は、履修取り下げを認めない。 |
