| 授業の構成 | | The aim of this course is to improve students’ communication ability mainly in terms of listening and speaking. It will help students develop their basic abilities with respect to daily conversation, discussions, and presentations.

4 Discuss change and continuation about Halloween
5 ‘Small Talk’ and workplace conversations
6 Things you have and have not done and changes over time
7 Phrases for discussing personal opinions and unpleasant thoughts
8 Describing people’s behavior
9 Asking Questions about people
10 Listening to conservations and interviews and describing settings in documentary films
11 Describing and discussing unacceptable behavior
12 Short speeches on personalities
13 Presentations on self-selected language activities [surveys or book reports]

| 成績評価の方法と基準 | | | Evaluation is as follows: self-selected language activities (20%); participation in classroom activities (20%); speeches (10%); e-learning outside of class (20%); and TOEFL-ITP listening and structure scores (30%). |

| 注意事項 | | | 課外学習として「Ａｃａｄｅｍｉｃ Ｅｘｐｒｅｓｓ３」を課し、その消化率に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の２０％とする。また、ＴＯＥＦＬ ＩＴＰ（Ｌｉｓｔｅｎｉｎｇ，Ｓｔｒｕｃｔｕｒｅ）の評価を３０％とする。５回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。英語検定試験による単位認定を申請する学生以外は、履修取り下げを認めない。 |
