| 本授業の目的およびねらい | | 本授業科目は，専門的学習のツールとして外国語の能力を高め，異文化理解を深めて，国際社会に相応しい教養を育むことが目的である。
リスニングとスピーキングを主としたコミュニケーションの能力を高める授業を行い、日常会話、さらにはディスカッションやプレゼンテーションのための基礎力を養成する。 |

| 授業の構成 | | | In this class students will be encouraged to engage in a variety of activities to improve and practice their English conversational skills covering a number of different topics and situations. Generally the topics will be related to the units of the Impact Listening textbook.( These will be covered at a general pace of one unit per week, although the pace may vary according to the students’ progress and the order of the units may differ from the order in the book.) Activities will be conducted in both pairwork and group activities. Pair activities and group work include conversational role play, interviews, games, discussions, and mini presentations. In addition to conversation activities every class will include listening exercises, not only from the textbook but also other sources.Class time will also be given to the review of key grammar points and hints and advice for conversational strategies. |

| 注意事項 | | | 課外学習として「Ａｃａｄｅｍｉｃ Ｅｘｐｒｅｓｓ３」を課し、その消化率に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の２０％とする。また、ＴＯＥＦＬ ＩＴＰ（Ｌｉｓｔｅｎｉｎｇ，Ｓｔｒｕｃｔｕｒｅ）の評価を３０％とする。５回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。英語検定試験による単位認定を申請する学生以外は、履修取り下げを認めない。 |
