●本授業の目的およびねらい
This class will build on the foundations of first-year reading classes to further develop vocabulary and reading skills. The textbook comes with 12 topic-based units per level, featuring a variety of motivating reading texts and activities which develop not just reading but also listening, speaking, writing, vocabulary and grammar skills. Critical thinking skills are built through engaging questions for speaking and discussion. Review pages for each unit enable ongoing evaluation of progress.

対面授業に加え、課外学習として電子教材を課し、その成績に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の20%と する。なお、5回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。履修取り下げ制度は採用しない。
