●本授業の目的およびねらい
本授業は、英語という言語、その言語が培ってきた文化、および現代社会における英語文化についての深い教養を身につけることをその目的とする。英語・英語文化にかかわる様々な主題についての文献・資料調査、調査に基づく英語による口頭発表など、少人数授業の利点を生かした学習活動を行い、研究拠点大学である名古屋大学の学生にふさわしい学術英語の運用能力をさらに高めることを目指す。

●授業内容
This course aims to teach students how to present confidently on various topics in English. From presenting about one’s field of interests and research or studies, to discussing about topics in current affairs and culture, we will learn how to present our viewpoints to an audience confidently and clearly.

Students will be evaluated based on in-class participation, and presentations.

●注意事項
対面授業に加え、課外学習として電子教材を課し、その成績に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の２０％とする。なお、５回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。履修取り下げ制度は採用しない。
