●本授業の目的およびねらい
The aim of this course is to help students improve their listening and
speaking abilities. Students will develop their basic communication skills
including listening and discussion abilities.

The course is open to students of any level.

●授業内容
A variety of authentic materials, including English-language television
broadcasts will be used in this class. We will practice listening to and
understanding these materials, having informal conversations related to the
topics covered, and debating related topics in English.

●成績評価の方法
Assessment is based on participation in class (50%), out of class study (20%),
and TOEFL-ITP listening scores (30%).

●注意事項
対面授業に加え、課外学習として、英語（コミュニケーション）用「ぎゅっとｅ」リスニングを課し、その消化率に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の２０％とする。また、ＴＯＥＦＬ－ＩＴＰの成績（Ｌｉｓｔｅｎｉｎｇ、Ｓｔｒｕｃｔｕｒｅ）の評価を３０％とする。５回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。履修取り下げ制度は採用しない。
