The purpose of this class is to help students improve their communication       

skills. The main foci of the class will be speaking and listening, but we

Much of the work that we will do in this class will be group-work and           

pair-work. The tasks that students participate in during class will be          

meaning-based but will also be devised in a way to draw their attention to      

various aspects of the language. These tasks - which will include               

interaction tasks as well as listening and speaking tasks - will make up the
