The main aim is to give class members opportunities to develop skills and confidence for international communication. Presentations are the core element; however, general discussion and conversation skills are practiced regularly throughout the course to help students prepare for future cross-cultural situations and to enjoy them.

●授業内容
Classes are conducted in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. While brief instruction is given on important aspects of presentations, the emphasis is on free exchange of ideas and student participation. To that end, we will be seated in groups with different partners each class to maximize English communication opportunities.
The course contains discussion and practice loosely according to the following outline: 1. Orientation, greetings, warm up discussions 2. Overcoming nervousness and enjoying presenting 3. Clear presentation structure 4. English expressions for clear organization 5. Delivery: voice, body language 6. Techniques and language for stress-free question time 7-9. Mid-term presentations 10. Effective slide design and use of slide software 11. Techniques and vocabulary for conversation at international events 12-14. Final presentations 15. Course review
All classes will contain some informal discussion time to develop skills and confidence for international communication contexts.

Presentations are an increasingly important activity in communication across cultures. At the same time, they are also a context in which we can express our ideas and develop our communicative confidence. Let's challenge ourselves to take a further step out into the world.
