The aim of this course is to help students read more fluently, improve their vocabulary, and identify and understand the main ideas of what they read. Outside class, students will read extensively and evaluate what they read. In class, students will read intensively.

●授業内容
At the start of the course, students will evaluate their current English reading level with a self-test. During the course, students will read at least one book each week at or slightly above their current reading level. Every time they read a book, students will write a short report of its content.
Students will write two longer book reviews in addition to weekly short reports. The longer reviews will both summarize and evaluate a book.
In addition, intensive readings and exercises from the textbook introduce a variety of common text types and help improve reading fluency and ability.

5回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。履修取り下げ制度は採用しない。

You must keep up with the reading. You will read between 30 and 130 pages in English every week. You will also write in English every week.
The course will be conducted entirely in English.
