The purpose of this class is to teach you to compile important and useful information from an English text and convey it to others orally and in writing. It will test your ability to make sense of complex material, and to think critically about the issues it raises. It is meant to be an interesting and challenging experience.

●注意事項
対面授業に加え、課外学習として、英語（コミュニケーション）用「ぎゅっとｅ」リスニングを課し、その消化率に基づく評価を授業全体の評価の２０％とする。また、ＴＯＥＦＬＩＴＰの成績（Ｌｉｓｔｅｎｉｎｇ）の評価を３０％とする。なお、５回以上欠席をした場合、「欠席」の評価がつく。履修取り下げ制度は採用しない。

You must come prepared for this class. That means having the reading done so you can discuss and write about the topic.
Preparation is very important in this class. Please do the assigned readings and do your best to prepare the worksheets before you come to class. Students who do not contribute to the team effort will be marked down 20% of their final grade, regardless of the points earned.
